GLL, in partnership with the King's Trust, is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Get into Leisure Programme, designed to help you gain the skills, qualifications and confidence to begin a rewarding career in the leisure industry.

What You'll Receive
This fully funded programme provides you with the training and support needed to begin a career in leisure, including:
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
Industry-recognised training delivered by experienced professionals.
Employability workshops including interview skills, CV support and workplace skills.
Practical work experience within GLL leisure centres.
Ongoing support from GLL and the King's Trust throughout the programme.
Guaranteed interview for suitable vacancies on successful completion of the programme.
Following successful completion of the programme and subject to business needs, you'll have the opportunity to gain the STA Award in Teaching Swimming, enabling you to teach swimming lessons and further develop your career within GLL.

Swimming Requirement
Before starting the programme, you must be able to demonstrate that you are a competent swimmer. You should be confident swimming in deep water and capable of meeting the minimum swimming requirements for the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
About the Opportunity
This programme offers a unique opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications, opening the door to a variety of roles within the leisure industry. This is a 4-week work experience to employment placement covering 30/40 hours per week and that full attendance is mandatory to be successful in gaining employment.
As a qualified Lifeguard, you'll help ensure the safety of customers while providing excellent customer service in and around the pool.
The Kings Trust will fund any travel and lunch allowances for you during the 4 week programme.
