1. Who we are
Love Fitness Jobs (“LFJ”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a specialist recruitment job board and brand operated by Love Recruitment Ltd, part of the Love Recruitment Group of brands, connecting candidates and employers within the fitness and leisure sector. - Application data: roles applied for, application status, interview notes and feedback
- Right-to-work and compliance information where required for a specific role

Automatically collected data

3. How we collect your data
We collect personal data directly from you when you register on the LFJ job board, submit an application, upload a CV, or contact us by email, phone or through a form on our site. Candidate and application data is processed through our recruitment platform, Teamtailor, and our job board technology, JBoard, both of which act as data processors on our behalf under contract. Our vacancies are also syndicated to Indeed, and where you apply for a role through Indeed, your application data is passed to us via that integration so we can process it in the same way as a direct application. We may also collect data from publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn, or receive it from a referral by another candidate or contact.
4. How we use your data
- To match candidates with suitable vacancies and progress applications
- To communicate with you about roles, applications, interviews and feedback
- To verify eligibility to work and carry out reference or background checks where relevant to a role
- To manage our relationship with clients and deliver recruitment services
- To send relevant job alerts, sector news or marketing communications, where you have consented or it is within our legitimate interests to do so
- To maintain the security, performance and improvement of our website
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
5. Our legal basis for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract: to take steps towards, and perform, a recruitment services contract with you
- Consent: for certain marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time
- Legitimate interests: to run an effective recruitment business, including matching candidates to roles and maintaining client relationships, balanced against your rights
- Legal obligation: where we are required to process data to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, such as right-to-work checks
6. Who we share your data with
We may share your personal data with:
- Prospective employers or clients, where you have applied for or been put forward for a relevant role
- Teamtailor and JBoard, our recruitment platform and job board providers, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
- Indeed, where you have applied for a role through Indeed or where Indeed passes application data to us as part of our job posting integration
- Other trusted service providers who support our operations, such as IT hosting, email and communication tools, always under appropriate contractual safeguards
- Regulatory or legal bodies where we are required to do so by law
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Where any of our service providers store or process data outside the UK or European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain candidate data for as long as necessary to provide our recruitment services and to consider you for suitable roles, typically for the duration of an active job search relationship and a reasonable period afterwards so we can contact you about future opportunities. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, as set out in Section 9. Client data is retained for as long as the business relationship continues and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and contractual obligations.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work properly, understand how it is used, and improve your experience. This may include essential cookies (required for core site functionality), analytics cookies (to help us understand site usage) and, where applicable, marketing cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; please note that disabling essential cookies may affect how the site functions.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

10. Children's privacy
The Site is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us using the details in Section 11 and we will take steps to remove it.
