This pivotal role provides the opportunity to shape the member experience of our club into something truly industry leading.
If you are already a seasoned Fitness Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager, this role will allow you to get to the heart of why we love this industry- working with the fitness product and people, and allows you to implement real change to the Total Fitness member experience.
The influence of this role will be felt across the group, so to succeed in the role you’ll be commercially minded and feel confident bringing new ideas to the table, testing new concepts, and communicating across various levels of the business.
Lead a team of product professionals to deliver a variety of Health and Fitness related products and services that will maximise member experience, encourage repeat usage and subsequent, customer lifetime value. You know you are successful when our members feel supported, their way, with high product adoption, making every workout count, and delivery of a strong commercial performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop a culture of high engagement, growth and performance by applying the principles of our leadership and coaching philosophy
- Take ownership for the entire Health, Fitness and Swim environment, providing a team and member experience that is fun, engaging, safe and compliant
- Ensure high quality and consistency across all our Health and Fitness products by a process of regular review and evaluation
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of our Health, and Fitness and products and services
- Drive member visitation and engagement through product adoption and exceptional service delivery
- Accountable for overall experience and commercial performance of our Health and Fitness related products and services
- Managing our PT Manager and Group Exercise Manager to bring our purpose to life
What you'll bring
- Level 3 Fitness Qualification and experience Personal Training required
- Managing our in house fitness team and employed personal trainers
- Ideally experience in managing a personal training model
- The skill set to bring our gym floor to life, driving member engagement
- A track record of motivating and developing high performing teams, including experience with internal and external PT concepts
- The ability to develop and manage an outstanding group exercise offering
- A strong determination to succeed with an emphasis on quality results
- Commercial mind-set with a focus on maximising fitness revenue opportunities
- The knowledge and personality to guide and support members on their fitness journey, understanding the benefit of addressing fitness as a whole as opposed to parts (utilising personal training, classes etc)
