Everyone Active is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated Leisure Team Leader to join our team at the brand-new Leighton Leisure & Community Centre.
Leighton Leisure & Community Centre is a large, modern facility offering a wide range of activities to the local community. The centre includes an 8-lane 25m swimming pool, teaching and confidence pools, a 150-station gym, group exercise studios, Reformer Pilates studio, cycle studio, recovery facilities, squash courts and café, making this a busy and varied environment to work in.
As a Leisure Team Leader, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the centre. You’ll support the management team to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently, while leading the leisure team and helping us deliver a great experience for every customer.
We need a Leisure Team Leader who will…
- Lead, support and motivate the leisure team during shifts
- Help ensure the centre operates safely and effectively at all times
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across the facility
- Provide safe and effective supervision of our swimming pools and activity areas
- Deliver excellent customer service and confidently deal with customer enquiries
- Support the delivery of the centre's busy activity and swimming programme
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and housekeeping are maintained throughout the centre
- Carry out regular operational checks and ensure any issues are dealt with or escalated appropriately
- Support the training and development of team members
- Take responsibility for the centre as Duty Manager when required, including covering sickness and annual leave
- Support front-of-house operations when needed, including customer enquiries, bookings and telephone calls
- Be confident working in a fast-paced environment and making decisions when required

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and Pool Plant Operator qualification are desirable; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
This is an operational role within a busy leisure centre and will include early mornings, daytime, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
