Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of our swimming pool users. In this vital role, you will monitor pool activities, enforce safety rules, and respond promptly to emergencies. Your proactive approach will help create a safe, enjoyable environment for all members and visitors while promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Duties
- Constantly monitor pool areas to ensure swimmers’ safety and enforce pool rules
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary
- Conduct regular safety checks of pool equipment and surrounding areas
- Maintain clear communication with team members and patrons regarding safety procedures
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly following any incidents or emergencies
- Assist with pool set-up, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations
- Support compliance management by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Experience
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role within a leisure or aquatic environment is preferred
- Certification in First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and Pool Safety is required; ongoing training will be provided if needed
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patrons and team members
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond decisively during emergencies
- Knowledge of compliance management related to health and safety regulations in aquatic settings
