CRECHE ASSISTANT
LOCATION: TW2 Health and Fitness Club, Twickenham
PERMANENT - PART-TIME - 15 HOURS PER WEEK

JOB DESCRIPTION
● To ensure the crÿche area is safe and clean for use at all times. To control and supervise children in the area and ensure their safety.
● To ensure the crÿche operation is in line with the Clubs Normal Operating Procedures.
● To ensure the highest possible standards of Childcare are provided at all times. The Crÿche Assistant will focus day to day on the following tasks:
● Ensure the continued safety and security of all children using the crÿche, and take responsibility for users of the crÿche in an emergency.
● Deliver activities for crÿche users, promoting children’s welfare through participation, and supervise them at all times.
● Supervise children whilst they use the toilet facilities, ensuring relevant PPE is available and maintained (Personal Protection Equipment).
● Act as a key worker for children settling into the crÿche as required.
● Ensure the children are returned to their parents or guardians.
● Constantly examine all equipment, materials and areas that are used and through the unit fault reporting system report any defects or hazards immediately to your line manager.
● Liaise with parents to ensure correct information is provided on all aspects of their child’s care.
● To follow the requirements of the Child Protection Policy.
● To attend training and development as required.
● To undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as required by the facility management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ideally qualified to Level 3 EYFS minimum Level 2 EYFS
- Pediatric First Aid
- Flexibility with working patterns
