We are looking for a motivated and commercially driven individual to join our team as a Swim Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the Learn to Swim programme across our sites, ensuring high quality service delivery, commercial growth, and operational excellence. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about swimming who excels at leading teams and implementing strategic plans.
Primary Objectives
- Commercial Focus Drive income through the implementation of our three year growth and retention plan. Use KPIs to monitor performance and conduct competitor analysis SWOT assessments to shape annual objectives. Manage sales targets and ensure a strong focus on customer experience, including training staff on our Safer, Smarter, Stronger USP.
- Programme Management Maximise pool space and scheduling, communicate procedural changes to all stakeholders, and ensure the programme aligns with company standards. You will be responsible for chairing swim teacher meetings and developing recruitment and training plans to support programme growth.
- Leadership & Mentoring Provide direct leadership to the swim teacher team, including scheduling and performance feedback. Conduct interviews, inductions, and training, and regularly observe poolside sessions to maintain quality standards.
- Marketing Develop and maintain a monthly marketing plan covering in reach, outreach, and social media activities to promote the programme and boost space sales.
Requirements
- Fully qualified IOS Level 2 Swimming Teacher or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of Learn to Swim programmes and the National Governing Body framework.
- Proven experience in managing a team, including recruitment and mentoring.
- NRASTC or NPLQ and First Aid at Work certificates are desirable or willingness to undertake.
- Strong ability to work autonomously with excellent communication and organisational skills.
