Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our leisure centre in Northampton. Based at Lings Forum Leisure Centre, this role is vital in ensuring our facilities run smoothly and efficiently, supporting our mission to promote active lifestyles across the community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and operation of the leisure centre to ensure high standards of service and safety.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Lead, motivate, and support centre staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Coordinate with local authorities and partners to enhance community engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Drive initiatives to increase membership and facility usage.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes.
- Proven experience in operations management within the leisure or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to develop strategic plans and manage budgets.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to leisure facilities.
- Proficiency in operational software systems.
- Preferred: Experience working with local authorities or community organizations.
- NPLQ Lifeguard qualification essential for the role, training can be provided.
