National Aquatic Impact Manager
National Role (Home or Office Based)
Location - Central / Midlands
The Aquatic Impact Manager will support the Head of Aquatics and Sports to drive the commercial performance of Aquatic based activity across 46 facilities within England and Wales. The main focus of this role will be to support a small number of sites at a time, dictated by the Operations Director and the Head of Aquatics and Sports to help drive significant improvements and commercial gains. This role is the perfect opportunity to help to drive our business forward by increasing the number of people swimming. This role will also include additional project responsibilities as well as cover for the Head of Aquatics and Sports when needed.
This broad and creative role will have the Aquatic Impact Manager working in the regions advising the Centres of the overall Swimming Lessons strategy, supporting Aquatic plans and delivering commercially improved operating numbers. The Aquatic Impact Manager will be expected to take part in site visits with regional teams to discuss all upcoming projects, events and meetings that will require support.
The Opportunity
To deliver the companies Aquatics strategy.
To drive the number of participants in Swimming Lessons as well as the overall occupancy %.
To manage the Aquatics budgets to ensure maximum value and return on investment.
To work with the Head of Aquatics and Sports to deliver innovative and market leading developments.
To maximise opportunities from the existing business via the implementation of effective marketing initiatives. Understanding when an acquisition campaign, retention campaign and awareness campaign is needed. Liaison between both sites and marketing team to deliver.
To support and coach local team members to identify local opportunities and execute them in an effective manner. This includes constructively challenging existing practices and suggesting alternative ways to achieve results.
To maintain effective working relationships within the regional management team, particularly working closely with the Centre Managers and Site Swim Managers.
Work with key stakeholders such as Swim England, Zoggs and Sport England.
Assist with Business Development and growth opportunities across the region.
The Person
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a Sports Development or a business related subject. A professional qualification would be advantageous.
The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate a proven track record in developing Aquatics and be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management qualities.
The successful candidate will have strong project management skills.
The successful candidate will also require excellent communication skills, and be able to work closely with a high level management team, whilst interacting at all levels of the organisation.
High level of credibility with external suppliers and clients, internal peers, Managers and Directors across the business.
