Head of Commercial Operations
Up to £60,000 - West London (Hybrid)
We areseeking an experienced and commercially savvy leader to take on the role of Head of Commercial Operations. This pivotalposition provides strategic leadership and operational management across theleisure and sport services, including facilities and community programmes.
Thesuccessful candidate will be a true all-rounder with a passion for sport andleisure, dedicated to enhancing facilities and opportunities that improve thehealth and wellbeing of local people.
A snap shot of the role:
- Identify new and innovative funding opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability and social return.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities, contracts, and partnerships that support service objectives.
- Develop growth strategies that maximise the use of existing assets and anticipate emerging trends.
- Take responsibility for setting, monitoring, and managing budgets.
- Identify and secure external funding through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Lead on capital development projects to improve and modernise leisure facilities.
- Lead and manage leisure facilities, sport services, and active community programmes.
- Develop and deliver business plans and service strategies that drive growth and community impact.
What do we need from you?
Essential:
- Proven leadership experience in the sport, leisure, or community services sector.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in budget management and income generation.
- Track record of improving service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead teams across multiple projects.
- Passionate about improving facilities and services for local people.
Desirable:
- Experience in managing capital development projects.
- Knowledge of national and regional leisure, sport, and health policies.
- Familiarity with working within a local authority or contract environment.
