Summary
We are seeking a Duty Manager to join our dynamic team at Westway Portobello Fitness Club. This role is vital in ensuring our centres operate smoothly while promoting our mission of encouraging everyone to engage in regular physical activity. As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing the member experience and supporting our staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the leisure centre, ensuring high standards of service.
- Lead and manage staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Implement training programs for staff to maintain service excellence.
- Collaborate with management on promotional activities and community engagement initiatives.
- Monitor facility maintenance and report any issues to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to human resources as needed.
Qualifications
- First Aid at Work qualifications will need to be achieved within a set timescale if not qualified. Training will be given as this is a requirement of the role
- Proven supervisory experience in a leisure or hospitality environment.
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Experience in human resources or training is preferred.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are an advantage but not required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to leisure facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A passion for promoting health and fitness within the community.
