Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Fitness Manager to lead our fitness team and enhance the overall experience for our members. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and leadership skills, with a passion for health and fitness. As a Fitness Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our fitness programmes meet the needs of our diverse clientele.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the fitness centre, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all members.
- Manage and supervise fitness staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Develop and implement innovative fitness programmes that cater to various skill levels and interests.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving membership targets through effective sales management strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments of fitness programmes to ensure they meet industry standards and member expectations.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote fitness services and events within the community.
- Ability to teach a variety of classes and to drive standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
- From 2026, the Pool will reopen and the Fitness team will be responsible in completing pool tests and to oversee the plant room.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the fitness management sector.
- Minimum Level 3 Personal Training qualification
- First aid qualified
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Ability to supervise and manage a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience in sales management with a track record of achieving targets is highly desirable.
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional phone etiquette for handling member inquiries professionally.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
