Course Dates: 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 22nd & 23rd September 2025
Centre Opening: West Drayton Platinum Jubilee Centre – October 2025
GLL is currently recruiting Trainee Swimming Teachers to join our growing team across the Hillingdon Partnership in preparation for the exciting opening of the West Drayton Platinum Jubilee Centre.

What’s involved
As part of this programme, you’ll take part in a fully funded STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming—a nationally recognised qualification that provides the essential skills to teach non-swimmers, beginners and improvers.
Upon successful completion, you’ll join one of our local Swim School teams at one or more of our four Hillingdon sites, working with experienced Lead Teachers who will support you through your first steps as a qualified teacher.

Passionate about swimming and helping others
Competent swimmers
Approachable, patient, and positive in nature
Strong communicators (verbal and non-verbal)
Motivating, imaginative, and encouraging
Willing to commit to a 5-day intensive training course
Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
