Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Swim Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons to individuals of various ages and skill levels, helping them develop water confidence and essential swimming techniques. Your enthusiasm will inspire participants to enjoy the benefits of swimming while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and abilities
- Assess participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including supervising swimmers and responding promptly to emergencies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or other stakeholders regarding participant progress and safety procedures
- Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans
- Promote a positive attitude towards swimming and active participation among all learners
Qualifications
- Proven sports coaching experience or background in teaching physical activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
- Relevant swimming qualifications or certifications (e.g., Swim England or equivalent)
- Ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends as required
- A proactive approach to safety, supervision, and emergency response procedures
