Summary
We are seeking a Health, Activity and Wellbeing Leader to join our team. Based at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, this role is vital in driving our mission to inspire community engagement in health and fitness activities. As a key contributor, you will help foster a healthier, more active community aligned with our values.
Responsibilities
- Leading a wide range of group exercise classes and activities, particularly those aimed at older people or people with medical conditions, both at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre and in community venues.
- Administering these activities to deliver the Local Community Wellbeing Plan.
- Gathering data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the activity programme.
- Provide the highest level of customer service
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
- Requirements
- Fitness level 2/3.
- Group Exercise qualifications such as Yoga and Pilates and ideally Strength and Balance (Otago)
- Experience of leading group exercise classes, particularly those aimed at older people or people with medical conditions.
- Good organisational skills
- High level of customer care
- Otago (Strength and Balance), GP Referral and First Aid at Work qualifications desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
- Sports coaching qualifications also an advantage.
- MUST have a full driving licence
