Management Accountant
Parkwood Leisure Head Office - Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.
Full Time, Permanent, flexible/hybrid options available.
Based at our head office in Droitwich, our Finance department is on the hunt for an Management Accountant to join our central support team. Our finance department has a proven track record for staff training, development and support and we offer free parking, flexible/hybrid working options and study support as part of our generous package.
The Opportunity
As part of a team, you will:
Review and preparation of monthly multi-site management accounts including liaising with leisure centre managers, regional directors and directors based at Head Office.;
Assist with the preparation and review of financial reports for board directors or internal/external parties.
Support the Senior Finance Manager in the reviewing and management of all the monthly and annual financial reporting requirements;
Assist with maintaining the integrity of the financial results;
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve reconciling items;
Identification of training needs within the operational teams and implementation of training plans.
Regular review of internal controls/processes, ensuring existing processes are fit for purpose and making recommendations for improvement to the Senior Finance team.
Undertake any other duties as may be required by the company.
The Candidate
Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
Previous management accounts experience.
Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets).
Must be IT proficient
Meticulous, organised, enthusiastic and hardworking.
Good communication skills
Have a good attention to detail.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales
Good time management and the willingness to take a hands on approach
Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
