We are looking for a General Manager to ensure the seamless running of our Teesside club to a high standard. As the General Manager, you will directly line manage your team and act as a leader to every employee in our Teesside club.
Responsibilities
- Achieve budgeted EBITDA for your Club. Identify and co-ordinate effective cost controls. Delivery of financial performance (revenue less controllable costs) of your club – key focus on Net Member Movement, Yield, Operating Costs
- Identify and realise sales development, income growth, product development (and implantation) and cost optimisation
- Be accountable for ensuring compliance for all legislative requirements within your Club including all relevant health and safety standards
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic reforecasts, developing club specific strategies, appropriate to local demographic, member base and location
- Implementation of agreed sales, operational and service standards, leveraging best practice where possible, ensuring the customer journey is aligned with agreed TF strategy
- Ensure consistent delivery of the service level agreements from the Partners and Contractors providing services to the Club.
Within your team, you will:
- Recruit, develop, coach and mentor your direct reports. Ensure all internal processes and policies are followed
- Ensure that your team have the knowledge, experience and understanding of all products and services and know how to deliver our member experience
- Take a lead with operational delivery – being able to undertake duty management activity
With your members, you will:
- Maximise value for money for members through identifying delivery gaps in NPS, member engagement and member participation
- Take the lead in interacting and communicating with members, actively promoting and seeking ways to add value to the members’ overall experience, being member obsessed in every decision you take.
- Ensure that complaints are responded to effectively in the Club. Channels of communication include (but are not exclusive to) comment cards, member surveys, mystery member, member forums
