Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and knowledgeable Fitness and Football Coach to join our coaching team. This role involves delivering engaging, age-appropriate sessions that focus on both football-specific skill development and overall physical fitness. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting player progression, promoting positive behaviours, and maintaining high coaching standards across our programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions that combine football development with physical fitness principles
- Lead individual, small group, and team-based training sessions
- Support player development in areas such as strength, endurance, agility, and injury prevention
- Monitor and record player progress and provide regular feedback
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all participants
- Work collaboratively with other coaches to ensure consistency across all programmes
- Promote safe practices, safeguarding, and wellbeing at all times
- Contribute to events, camps, and matchdays as required
Requirements
Minimum FA Level 1 (Introduction to Coaching Football) or UEFA C Licence (preferred)
- Recognised fitness qualification (e.g. Level 2 Fitness Instructor or higher)
- Experience coaching young players in a structured environment
- Knowledge of physical development in youth athletes
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid and Safeguarding certificates (or willingness to complete training)
Desirable
- Experience delivering fitness sessions for football teams or academies
- Understanding of periodisation and athlete monitoring
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during school holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 37 per week
