Lex Leisure is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that has been established to build upon the legacy of two successful paralympic games in London and Rio, the Invictus Games and other sporting events that have helped to inspire persons with physical, mental or health related inequalities to be physically active. Aiming to deliver high quality services to our customers, the Company also prides itself on its exemplary health and safety record and commitment to staff.
The RIC is a multi use venue comprising a range of Leisure facilities as well Conference/Event and Function spaces. These facilities are complimented by a Food & Beverage department including a public cafe and an event kitchen team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible to the Events Manager, the Sales Advisor role is a key position in the business. The Sales Advisor will be proactive in seeking new business, handling enquiries, administrative tasks such as drawing up contracts and showing clients around the venue.
Primary objectives for the Sales Advisor will be:
Process all conference, meetings, banqueting enquiries generated through the website, email, telephone or walk-in enquiries.
Liaise with the Sales and Events Manager and support the development of existing business and create opportunities for new business.
Maintain accurate data on business contacts and enquiries, adding and updating events in the event management system diary and ensure follow-ups and contact is maintained.
Understand client requirements, objectives, and budgets to create tailored event proposals and packages.
Liaise with the Sales and Events Manager to develop appropriate Sales and Marketing activities which may include some weekend/ off-site work.
Administration tasks such as keeping sales notes up to date, drawing up contracts and terms and conditions, providing room plans, sample menus and any other information required by the client before the event is confirmed.
To help maintain a high standard of service throughout the department.
To help maintain a high level of Health & Safety within the department.
Any other duty as deemed reasonable by the Sales and Events Manager or Center Manager.
THE CANDIDATE
Will ideally have experience in the events and/or hospitality industry although not essential.
Will possess a friendly, approachable and ‘can do’ attitude.
Will be passionate about providing exceptional customer care.
Will have a keen eye for detail, exceptionally well organised and be able to multitask.
Will be flexible - occasional weekends may apply to attend exhibitions.
Will be computer literate. Knowledge of google drive, mail and calendar would be an advantage.
Will have a desire to overachieve in a challenging but rewarding industry.

DBS
