Job Purpose:
Our Wilmslow site has and is growing in complexity. Not only is the club business bigger (more members, more services like PT and Swimming), but the multi businesses are getting bigger too. Thrive and conferencing are more popular than ever, our Real Body Clinic has great potential to grow further in an expanding market and our standalone Women’s Gym is growing in popularity as our 16th club.
This additional growth in complexity presents us with opportunities to reorganise the way we deliver the experience on the premises that also creates new pathways, opportunities, and better levels of team-ship between the various businesses at Wilmslow.
The Wilmslow Multi Businesses, comprise 4 businesses, each with separate responsibilities. The 4 businesses are: Thrive café and Conferencing, Real Body Clinic and the Women’s Gym. We are recruiting a Multi Businesses Manager role to lead these businesses and also to grow with us, as we grow ourselves.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and develop the organisational structure of the Multi Business to support a more multi-site approach for the Wilmslow group, one which will unlock the untapped potential of the site.
- Work cross functionally alongside TF support team members to optimise the organisational design in both team formation and operating strategy.
- Think critically about what the business units need now and in the future from a people perspective.
- Commit wholly to the development of those team members within the group, to ensure that you build a high performing team able to take responsibility for their own business streams, the combined performance of which delivers group contribution.
- Grow your team of business leaders to high performing, the measure of which will be the group capacity to unlock further growth and expansion through the absorption of further businesses/products/services. Growth Strategy
- Re-imagining the organisational design for Wilmslow is an opportunity to test/learn some of our sales/service/product transformation strategy. The WMBM will be crucial to contributing to the operationalisation of some of the strategic concepts.
- The WMBM will be responsible for launching any new built spaces/products on the premises and establishing a trajectory of growth.
- The WMBM will be responsible for unifying the disparate, but owned, proprietary businesses that operate on the site – ie. WCC into Thrive, Conferencing and Business Spaces.
- The WMBM is accountable for all aspects of performance across all units within the Wilmslow business group, delivered through the efforts of the department/business leaders.
- Measures of performance are not limited to commercial growth KPIs but expand to: ENPS and other measures of engagement and team tenure/stability; CNPS and; Capacity for further growth and development.
- Ultimately, the measure of performance will be the stability/tenure and team-ship of the department/business leaders within the group.
- You’ll be responsible for the continuous development of your department/business leaders, who will – in turn – develop the performance their teams and ultimately their departments/business leaders.
- This is a high growth role for the WMBM who should be growth-minded and ready for stretch.
