Your role will be to support the Group Financial Reporting Manager in accounting for fixed assets and capital expenditure, ensuring assets are accurately capitalised, depreciated, reviewed and reported in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements. The role will support strong month-end and statutory reporting, audit readiness and effective capital governance across the Group, working closely with the wider finance function and operational stakeholders.
You’ll own the accounting and governance of property, plant and equipment across the Group, ensuring accurate capitalisation, classification and depreciation in line with IFRS and local GAAP. The role covers review and validation of capex (including CWIP), accounting for disposals, impairments and reclassifications, and delivery of clear month-end reporting and reconciliations. You’ll support statutory and interim reporting, including disclosures and impairment reviews, act as a key contact for external auditors on fixed asset matters, and help strengthen controls, processes and data integrity across procurement, projects and the general ledger, while providing practical guidance to non-finance stakeholders on capitalisation principles

About you:
- · ACA/ACCA qualified. Technically strong with excellent knowledge of IAS 16 and IAS 38.
- · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- · Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of the team, taking full ownership of assigned projects.
- · Experience working in a regulated, well-controlled reporting environment, with a clear understanding of audit and governance expectations.
- · Experience in Dynamics 365 or another major ERP system desirable
