Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a
General Manager to join our team in Sherburn in Elmet, supporting our customer Sainsburys. As a General Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership and management for the fast-paced site in Sherburn in Elmet while continuing to develop added value to customer propositions in order to strengthen organisational dependencies and partnerships.
This is a full time, permanent position and even though contracted
Monday to Friday,
08:00 till 17:00, this is a 24/7 operation, andyoull need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours no twoweeks are the same,this is logistics after all!
Pay, Benefits And More
Were looking to offer a salary of up to
£100,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a

What Youll Do On a Typical Day
- Manage the sites leadership teams, achieving operational delivery performance and adherence to all company and customer/site KPIs
- Liaise and build rapport with the customer to allow for collaborative working and the defining ofshared goals and objectives
- Lead the change management on site, with a focus on CI, health and safety
- Maintain effective and open communication links positively encouraging teamwork
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
- Significant experience in a fast-moving logistics environment; previous grocery experience would be preferred
- Strong financial acumen - youll be accountable for a multi-million-pound budget
- Ability to coach and develop senior managers along with experience of managing trade union relationships
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with exposure to project management, driving change and implementing a CI culture
