Assistant Club Manager – Snap Fitness - Windsor (PART TIME: 20 hours per week)
PURPOSE OF ROLE & CONTEXT OF ROLE
The Assistant Club Manager at Snap Fitness Windsor will be responsible for supporting and reporting to the General Manager with the running of certain aspects of the club. They will report directly to the General Manager with specific daily, weekly & monthly set tasks, which will include Health and Safety, maintenance requirements, sales and member retention.
The successful candidate will have previous customer service experience from any commercial business sector (but ideally from the leisure industry), and be used to working to key performance indicators. The role will be primarily customer-facing and involve working in a team, and as such, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Good administration and organisational skills are also a must.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Sales & member retention
Dealing with prospective members' enquiries and/or visits to the club.
Converting telephone enquiries into appointments.
Developing membership referral schemes.
Daily management of the membership system; uploading accurate information of all prospects/members.
Providing ‘on the floor’ sales leadership and support.
Developing a membership experience to ensure all members feel valued, in order to increase member satisfaction and longevity (which in turn will lead to better referrals). This includes:
- Maintaining the club to the highest of standards, ensuring that the member experience exceeds their expectations.
- Using a proactive approach to club cleanliness - supporting the contracted cleaners by completing ad hoc cleaning whenever required.
- Maintaining adequate stock of club essentials, such as disposable wipes, toiletries and sanitiser.
- Ensuring gym equipment is maintained to full working order and always clean.
- Developing skills within the Sales and Membership team to ensure you provide excellent customer service.
- Reporting any of club H&S requirements as specified by the Club Manager.
Ensure completion of all recommendations within time frames requested.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent. Working hours will be between 8am and 8pm Mon – Fri. Weekend availability required (some Saturday mornings 9am-12pm).
