We are looking for a Duty Officer, to join our friendly and professional team. Working with the Duty Managers and General Manager, ensuring performance potential is optimised and all work is carried out to the highest standard and leading the team of Lifeguards at the busy leisure pool.
You will be responsible as a Duty Officer for the day to day running of the leisure centre to the highest standard and will be offered the full opportunity to develop all the skills required for a Duty Manager. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, and ideally has experience of working in a leisure environment, but more importantly, someone who has passion and drive, and is able to think on their feet, keep calm under pressure and able to deal with people from all walks of life. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (rota basis)
- RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- To actively manage and develop and motivate a team of operational staff
- To be responsible for the day to day duty management and running of the leisure centre to the highest standard
- To contribute to and understand the business and budgetary performance of the centre
- To be a proactive member of the leisure centre team
- A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development
- Experience of problem solving, customer service and staff management
- Experience working in a Duty Management or similar role
- To be able to work flexibly with a level of autonomy and decision making confidence
- Able to think on your feet and respond to variable demands.
