Your Key Responsibilities
As General Manager, you will:
- Build and inspire a high-performing team from recruitment to induction and beyond.
- Lead the successful operational launch of the Birkdale village, setting strong foundations for quality and performance.
- Deliver excellent care and community services in line with regulatory, financial and cultural goals.
- Act as the ambassador for Belong Birkdale in the local area - building visibility, engagement, and trust.
- Maximise revenue opportunities and ensure financial sustainability through strong commercial leadership.
- Champion customer experience, safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance standards.
- Lead with visibility, warmth, and consistency - becoming the heart of the community.
Essential
Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent in leadership, management, social care or health)
- Extensive leadership experience in a customer-centred industry (e.g. social care, health)
- Demonstrated financial management experience - budgets, cost control, and forecasting
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with strong HR and development practice
- Strong communication skills across diverse audiences - from residents and families to regulators
- Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office, reporting systems)
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Knowledge of CQC-regulated care setting
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in management or related discipline
- Experience launching or transforming new services/sites
