Reformer Pilates Instructor (Freelance)
Location: Maida Vale, London
Studio Type: Boutique Pilates Studio (5 reformer beds)

Position Details:

Role: Reformer Pilates Instructor
Required Certification: Reformer and/or Tower Pilates instructor certification. Pre and post natal is an advantage.
Hours: Between 4 and 18 hours per week (preferable, but flexible)
Schedule: flexible scheduling, starting with blocks of 2 classes during the week and blocks of 4 during weekends, going up to blocks of 6 throughout the week.
Location: Maida Vale, London
Compensation: £40 - £45 per class
Additional: Some studio management hours will be available if this is of interest. 20-30 hour contract may be available for the right person

Are you looking for a studio in north-west London to call "home"? We are new, and looking for founding instructors, who are interested in teaching multiple regular blocks.

Get in touch if you a passionate, proactive and experienced Reformer and/or Tower Pilates instructor, who wants flexibility in teaching, the autonomy to run their own type of classes and be involved in the shaping and management of the studio, if of interest.

To start, we have available blocks of 2 classes in the mornings and evenings during weekdays, and a block of 4 classes during weekends. Private classes will also be possible.

Some studio management hours will be possible as and when required. 20-30 hour contracts may be available for the right person.

About the Studio:
Our studio aims to deliver high-quality Pilates instruction, without flashing lights, or excessively loud music. Its located in the quiet residential streets near Little Venice - an affluent area with lots of young families. Our mission is to bring convenient, real Pilates to local busy working ladies (and gents), new moms or moms to be, etc.

We have a single studio space with 5 reformer/ tower beds, with a calm working environment.

The space is also available to use for content creation, for free, or to rent in off-peak hours, for private sessions organised by the instructors for a negotiable fee.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Reformer and/or Pilates classes with professionalism and attention to individual needs
Ensure the studio is set up and ready for classes (e.g., equipment check, clean and clear space)
Open the studio for classes and lock up after class
Ensure the studio is in working order and report to the manager if it is not the case
Offer high-quality, personalized instruction in group classes of up to 5 participants
Have the autonomy to create and run your own classes as you wish

Qualifications:

Full Reformer Pilates certification (required)
First aid certificate
Experience teaching group classes - at least 6 months (any fitness classes)
Strong communication skills and a positive, approachable attitude
Ability to tailor classes to suit different levels and abilities
Must have your own Professional Indemnity and national insurance
Comfortable working on a consultant agreement
