LIFEGUARD / LEISURE ASSISTANT / RECREATION ASSISTANT

We need an Recreation Assistant who will…
- Be focused on delivering excellent customer service standards
- Provide safe and effective pool supervision
- Be part of a motivated team fully embracing our company values
- Ensure high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within the centre
- Support the varied programme of activities and sessions
- Effectively communicate with other team members
National Pool Lifeguard qualification is required but we can arrange training. If training is required, the successful candidate will need to be able to (as a minimum):
· Jump / Dive into deep water & tread water for 30 seconds in deep water
· Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
· Climb out of the pool unaided
· Touch the deepest part of the pool with two hands
The successful candidate will also need to be able to attend a National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) course (if not already qualified) from Monday 27th July 2026 – Friday 31st July 2026, 8:45am – 6pm (each day must be attended in full). The final assessment will be on Friday 31st July from 2pm onwards.
First Aid at Work & coaching qualifications are desirable. This position will involve day, evening and weekend work including public holidays. We will complete a DBS check prior to starting in this role
