We are hiring for a Facilities Painter and Decorator to work within our Technical Team. In this role, you will support the delivery of the annual redecoration programme across our Brighton sites. You will help ensure facilities remain safe, welcoming and well presented for the community. The work includes planned redecoration, surface preparation, painting, finishing and leaving all areas tidy and usable.
You will work both independently and alongside the wider team, taking responsibility for your tasks and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned redecoration across multiple sites
- Work safely and follow all relevant Risk Assessments
- Prepare surfaces, apply paints and finishes and ensure clean handover
- Maintain agreed quality standards with your line manager
- Manage materials, tools and stock effectively
- Capture before and after photos to evidence improvements
- Complete required training and maintain a valid DBS

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday (to include some weekend work, to meet demands of the business)
This is a temporary role of up to 12 months.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience in painting, decorating or a similar practical trade
- Can solve problems confidently and work independently when needed
- Communicates clearly with colleagues and site teams
- Is flexible and comfortable making decisions
- Manages time well and handles multiple priorities
- Can travel between sites as required
- Works positively within a team
Desirable Skills & Experience
- A relevant Facilities Management qualification
- A technical trade qualification
- Experience in a similar industry or environment
- Strong people management or coordination skills

Salary: up to £24,519 per annum (in line with the National Minimum Wage rate from 1st April 2026)
