Job Purpose:
We're looking for Swimming Teachers (both employed and self employed) to provide swimming lessons for Total Fitness across a number of days. We want successful candidate's to provide members and non-members with excellent customer service whilst making a difference to people lives.
We’re open 7 days a week and you’ll be required to work a set shift pattern that may include both daytime and evening work. These shifts may be on weekdays and weekends throughout the course of the month. The majority of the shifts will be on an evening and a weekend.
This is a hands-on role, you’ll spend the majority of your time working with the team and in the pool environment leading from the front. We recognise that members require post lesson feedback which we allow for in our scheduling, each lesson is 30 minutes + 10 minutes feedback, your time fully paid for.

Key Responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver swimming lessons for children aged 0+ years
- Make sure safety standards are followed at every session
- Ensure safe provision of all swimming equipment and make sure it is used correctly
- Deliver group and one to one swimming lessons
- Develop swimmer’s techniques by identifying ways to improve their performance
- Support the Poolside Experience Manager with any queries in regards to swimmer’s progress as required
- Maintain accurate records on all swimmers as required by Total Fitness and governing body
- Create a fun and positive swimming environment whilst always remaining professional
- Evaluate the lessons and give feedback/demonstration of accurate swimming techniques

- A successful track record of teaching children to swim

- A natural coach who takes pride in planning and delivering swimming lessons
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- A genuine passion and active involvement in swimming
Qualifications:
Essential
- SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming or equivalent
