As a Fitness Instructor you will work closely with the Occupational Therapy and Recreation Team to create opportunities for individuals with acute mental health problems to engage in meaningful activity. By facilitating practical activity groups and individual sessions, you will contribute towards a balanced therapeutic programme, providing service-users with appropriate challenges while maintaining a safe environment.

This will involve initiating and sustaining a respectful, consistent and reliable therapeutic relationship with service users that enhances their ability to build social networks and work in partnership with other agencies.
The service also aims to promote resilience with people in an acute part of their illness to be supported in their homes and communities to prevent admission to hospital wherever possible
