Barista – Woolwich Waves

What you’ll do
As a Barista, you’ll play a key role in the smooth running of our café and coffee, ensuring every drink and interaction meets the highest standards. You’ll take ownership of quality, consistency, and presentation - from bean to cup - while supporting the Café in day-to-day operations.
You’ll:
Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and fresh food in line with GLL standards
Manage stock levels, place orders, and support regular stocktakes
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring full compliance at all times
Support training and development of new team members
Assist with setting up for events and children’s parties when required
Handle cash and card transactions accurately
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment
What you’ll bring
Previous experience as a Barista
A genuine passion for coffee, customer service, and creating a welcoming environment
Strong communication and multitasking skills
The ability to lead by example and inspire others
Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate (or willingness to achieve this)
Flexibility to work a rota including weekends and evenings
