Area General Manager to oversee a portfolio of three design lead, lifestyle hotels on the stunning
Isle of Skye - one of the most sought-after destinations in the UK.
About the Role:
As Area General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic management of the three properties across the Isle of Skye. You will ensure operational excellence, lead and develop hotel teams, and drive both guest satisfaction and financial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, guest-facing environment while also possessing strong commercial acumen and a proactive management style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across our three hotel sites as well as three restaurants and two bars.
- Lead, inspire and develop on-site management teams.
- Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding service and guest experiences.
- Drive revenue growth and manage costs effectively to meet financial targets.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, health & safety, and property maintenance.
- Foster strong community relations and support local recruitment and training.
- Report regularly to owners/investors on performance and key initiatives.
- Create and foster an engaged team with open and consistent communication.

What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior hotel management or multi-site hospitality leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of rural or remote hospitality operations.
- Excellent people leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Results-oriented, with a strong grasp of P&L, KPIs and revenue strategies.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building ability.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a hands-on approach to management.
- A passion for Scottish hospitality, culture, and sustainability.
- A strong sense of community and a wish to build a life as well as a career within the Isle of Skye.

We are located on 52 acres to the west of Portree. Close enough to leave the car and walk into Portree.
