Job Title – General Manager
Job Overview - Reporting into the Area Manager, you will inspire and create an environment where we “Create Unforgettable Experiences One Guest at a Time” for the thousands of visitors that you will welcome into your park with a very clear mindset where the safety of our team members and guests is our highest priority.
Key Measure of Success
● The maintenance and on-going improvement of the Company’s guest experience and feedback performance
● The rigorous adherence to all applicable health and safety standards, with particular emphasis upon risk assessment, standard operating procedures, team member training, and operational performance monitoring
● The operation of the park is key you will manage all bookings, schedules and take a lead on party booking and the booking in schedule.
● Keep the Area Manager informed of any decisions made within the park and report any staff issues, HR & Accidents on daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
● You will thrive in a multi-function, fast-paced, high footfall environment where being hands-on will be an essential part of your role.
● Follow the parks opening and closing operational directives along with all other operational daily, weekly & monthly objectives as per the operational platform
● You will lead the way when it comes to ‘Getting stuck in’ and showing your team what a leader you are.
● You will enjoy recruiting, appraising, coaching, developing, and mentoring your teams.
● Guest experience is at the heart of what we do so the ability to be face to face with your guests when you’re needed most is an absolute must.
● Creating community relations will be essential in ensuring our reputation remains where it is and of course to further those relations where practicable.
● To ensure the consistent maintenance and on-going improvement of the store’s overall presentational standards, internally and externally
● To ensure the effective and efficient operation of the store’s overall premises and facilities management resources. This includes planned preventative and breakdown maintenance of building, plant, equipment, the operation of the catering and guest party services, and active management of all required inspection regimes
● The Health & Safety of our teams and guests is our highest priority and as such, this will always be at the top of your agenda.
● To ensure that the store maintains appropriate accident, incident, and associated contingency management arrangements, including test drills and staff training
● You will need to be a great communicator to your teams and your guests ensuring all feedback is dealt with promptly & professionally.
● You will be adaptable, resilient, smart, full of integrity and a real role model.
● To Assist the store’s team member performance management arrangements, including the effective operation of the probation period scheme, and any individual casework (for example, attendance, punctuality, sickness, maternity/paternity etc, discipline, grievance, etc) management, as required
● Speak to every team member on each of your shifts
● As with many roles, you will be required from time to time to work above and beyond your contracted hours owing to the demand of the business, its guests and team members.
● You will line manager all team members with the support of the Regional Manager along with overseeing the management of the Duty Manager’s.
● You will be responsible for the Health and Safety and accidents; all accidents should be reported to the Area Manager and senior Management Team on the day of the incident.
● You will be required to assist any admin duties for the franchise stores and may be required to carry out shifts or training at another store location.
● You will work Closely with the Regional Manager and offer support where necessary
Qualifications/Skills
● A good level of spoken English
● Basic IT skills
● 3-day first-aid certificate desirable
● IOSH qualified desirable
Working Conditions
● You will work 5 days out of 7 with weekend work essential
● Our parks are large in scale and as such a degree of good fitness is essential as you will work your way around the park dealing with many matters on a day-to-day basis with the ability to stabilise yourself on our trampolines should you be required to. Your will be required to work in all departments as of when needed.
