ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Title: BI Developer/Architect
Status: Exempt/Full-Time
Location: Austin, Texas [Hybrid (3 days in the office per week) preferred]
Reports To: Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis
Key Relationships: FP&A, Strategy & Growth, and Field Operations Leadership

What You'll Be Doing
The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect will be instrumental in maximizing the value of United FP’s data, making it more accessible and actionable to drive business insights.
• Assess and Lead Data Warehouse Strategy. Evaluate the feasibility of building an in-house data warehouse to replace the current vendor solution. If pursued, lead the development and implementation of the new system.
• Enhance reporting and visualization. Optimize reports and dashboards by leveraging BI expertise, with a focus on increasing the use of data visualizations.
• Design scalable analytics solutions. Partner cross-functionally to understand business needs and develop scalable analytics solutions that reduce reliance on Excel and enable previously unfeasible analysis.
• Integrate data sources. Expand the data warehouse to incorporate key data from systems such as CRM, POS and other systems, ensuring seamless integration and a comprehensive data ecosystem.
• Drive business insights and strategic analysis. Utilize BI tools and business acumen to propose and conduct analysis that inform decision making.
• Act as the BI subject matter expert. Serve as UFP’s go-to BI expert, owning the technical aspects of your work while providing strategic guidance to leadership.
• Develop BI capabilities across teams. Strengthen power BI proficiency among FP&A and other analytical teams through training and mentorship.
• Establish governance and best practices. Help implement governance frameworks for managing BI tools, metrics, and reporting standards.

What You'll Bring To The Table:
Skills and Competencies
• Experience designing and building, from scratch, efficient and effective database solutions, reports, and dashboards.
• Deep Power BI knowledge with proven experience including data modeling, visualization, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing and implementing Power solutions to transform raw data from Excel and other sources into insightful, interactive dashboards and reports.
• Ability to translate complex information into user-friendly insights, tools, and stories to influence business operations & strategy.
• A natural problem solver with demonstrated high levels of curiosity and initiative.
• Excellent analytical aptitude and strategic thinking combined with a results-driven attitude.
• Ability to build collaborative, cross-functional partnerships, across all levels of an entrepreneurial organization.
• Demonstration of strong business acumen in past roles. Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant business analysis experience with focus on BI and improving data management / analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, math, economics, finance, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in multi-unit operation, like gyms, retail, restaurants, etc., preferred but not required.
