Reformer Pilates Instructor (Freelance)

We are a small boutique Pilates studio located in Maida Vale, London, seeking a passionate and experienced Reformer Pilates instructor to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants flexibility in teaching and the autonomy to run their own type of classes.

About the Studio:
Our studio offers a welcoming space with a focus on delivering high-quality Reformer Pilates instruction. We have a single studio space, with calm working environment. Instructors have the freedom to bring their expertise and creativity to their classes and the number of beds is only 8, allowing more tailored classes.

The studio is also available for rent in off-peak hours, for private sessions organised by the instructors for a negotiable fee.

Position Details:

Role: Reformer Pilates Instructor
Hours: Between 6 and 18 hours per week (preferable, but flexible)
Schedule: flexible scheduling, with the ability to create your own class timetable
Location: Maida Vale, London
Compensation: £35 - £40 per class
Additional: Discretionary performance bonus based on percentage of studio revenue available after 6 months of service
Type: Freelance (consultant agreement)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Reformer Pilates classes with professionalism and attention to individual needs
Ensure the studio is set up and ready for classes (e.g., equipment check, clean and clear space)
Open the studio for classes and lock up after class
Ensure the studio is in working order and report to the manager if it is not the case
Offer high-quality, personalized instruction in group classes of up to 8 participants
Have the autonomy to create and run your own classes as you wish

Qualifications:

Full Reformer Pilates certification (required)
First aid certificate
Experience teaching group classes - at least 6 months
Strong communication skills and a positive, approachable attitude
Ability to tailor classes to suit different levels and abilities
Must have your own Professional Indemnity and national insurance
Comfortable working on a consultant agreement
